Logistics & Customer Services Coordinator

Switchshop are a successful company selling in to the IT market. We require a new employee to take on the roll of Logistics & Customer Services Coordinator.

 

Initially your main tasks will be, answering & transferring telephone calls or taking accurate messages, dealing with warehouse duties to include stock rotation & recording stock levels, booking goods in, packing & preparing goods to be sent out. Dealing with customer queries to include miss shipments, obtaining POD’s / Parcel tracking, credits & supplier returns. Also to ensure maintenance contracts are kept up to date. You will be responsible for all of the warehouse packaging materials, ensuring we have sufficient levels at all times.

 

You will liaise closely with the Office Manager and provide first line support to the whole office assisting with all queries.

 

You will work very closely with our Office Junior and occasionally be required to help with data entry to include processing customer orders, customer payments & raising customer invoices. Processing supplier invoices & supplier payments. General office duties to include scanning, shredding, filing, preparing the evenings post, tidying & recycling. Replacing cartridges when required & ensuring that the levels of stationery are sufficient at all times. The role will also involve you raising purchase orders & chasing suppliers for accurate delivery dates.

 

We occasionally send out large mail shots to our customers, you will assist with ensuring these are prepared & sent out quickly & effectively.

The role will also include taking the company cheques to a nearby bank so having your own transport is essential.

Experience is not necessary, as training will be provided, however the successful applicant will have an excellent telephone manner, be a friendly, helpful, flexible team worker, willing to respond professionally, enthusiastically and positively to all requests; happy to 'run around', 'muck in', roll your sleeves up and get the job done.
