Switchshop Limited is a successful, growing company specialising in network design implementation and support, including;
We are a value-added reseller for several major IT manufacturers, including HPE Aruba (Platinum) Fortinet (Expert), Acronis, Sonicwall (Gold) and Splicecom selling network and data centre infrastructure and providing technical design, installation and support services, in addition to Switchshop products and managed services to customers.
The company was established in 2000 and has grown consistently ever since. We currently have around 92 employees, operating mainly from our offices in St.Albans, Hertfordshire, with a growing number based at our office in Glasgow.
Switchshop operates an inhouse 9am until 5pm service desk supporting our customer base. As well as an on call 24×7 service to a specific subset of customers. Focused technologies on the service desk include Fortinet, Aruba,and Sonicwall. We also offer training to provide support and fault-finding knowledge on our preferred VoIP platform which is Splicecom.
Here in the Switchshop Pre-Sales team, we are responsible for providing our customers with the accurate detailed technical knowledge they require and providing our sales team with prompt support and training whilst ensuring that all engineering work is safely deliverable during the sales scoping process.
As Switchshop’s Engage Expert partnership with Fortinet continues to go from strength to strength, we are looking to reinforce our Pre-Sales team with further expertise. Accordingly, we are looking to recruit a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer with expert level Fortinet security fabric knowledge to NSE7 standard. Up to date certification desirable but not essential as long as the knowledge is in place. Further training and certification will be provided on an ongoing basis to the successful candidate.
Demonstrably, this should include FortiGate, FortiSwitch & FortiAPs, FortiManager, FortiClient EMS, FortiAuthenticator & FortiAnalyzer. FortiSASE knowledge preferable. Proven experience in designing, building and supporting Fortinet solutions. Key subject matter expertise should include, SD-WAN, 802.1X and NAC, ZTNA, PKI, SSL Inspection. OSI model fundamentals expected.
Whilst hybrid working in nature, this role will initially require daily attendance to our new head office in St Albans, where you will work alongside our sales team, building relationships and learning what makes Switchshop so special. Longer term this will likely reduce to 2- 3 days a week as required.
Our Pre-Sales team regularly attend site for customer visits and as we have customers all over the UK, overnight stays are to be expected from time to time.
This is an extremely important customer facing role which requires clarity, excellent presentation skills combined with deep technical understanding of the industry’s highest-performing cybersecurity mesh platform.
